Establishing a professional practice and maintaining a successful business is a challenge whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner. This session is designed to enhance the practitioner's clinical and business skills and is aimed at fostering confidence and expanding professional expertise. The presenter will address basic business practices necessary for the successful interface of clinical responsibilities and ethical conduct. Time management, efficient record keeping, and the setting of goals and realistic expectations will be discussed in the context of professional ethics and standards.


Participants will be able to: create and update client records and procedural forms; establish policies and procedures that reflect their professional reputation and strong ethical standards; research and explain the legal and tax requirements in their state and locality; and describe methods of collaboration that support meaningful relationships with other professionals.
