If you've wondered how to maintain the fidelity of reading programs while adapting to the unique needs of individual students, this session is for you! The framework relies on informal assessment and diagnostic teaching methods to create a systematic intervention that is both grounded in research and flexible enough to adapt to an individual student’s needs. It presents the findings of the Big 5 (plus morphology) in a format that allows practitioners to identify strengths and weakness, recommend programs for each area of difficulty, and provide activities to support working memory and processing speed.

Participants will be able to: integrate knowledge of reading programs into a cohesive system of assessment and instruction; informally assess a student's reading profile; design an individualized learning plan based on the assessment; and implement techniques to support working memory and processing speed.
